To determine whether delivering app downloads as a burst impacts our client’s music app’s position in the AppStore. At the same time gain an uplift in organic installs as a result of a rise in the music ranking.
Bids were progressively increased and delivery caps removed in order to maximize visibility across publisher websites; incentivizing consumers to download the app.
Via iOS there were over 9,000 app downloads in just three days resulting in #5 in the music category. In addition there were 3,000 organic installs of the app. Via AppStore there was an increase in position from #21 to #5 in less than 48 hours. Organic installs increased by 73% WoW.
