With more sites using the Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) function, Google is showing that they place a heavy importance on mobile and have decided to include an error report to gather feedback from webmasters while AMP is still in beta. Meanwhile, the integration of the Panda algorithm into Google’s core algorithm is pushing businesses to continually monitor the quality of their content. Google recommends to focus on the creation of new, high quality content rather than the removal of older, lesser content. Lastly, the Penguin and Panda algorithms will finally be united under Google’s core ranking algorithm. The last Penguin update was well over a year ago, in October 2014, and very little is known of what the it will bring, meaning webmasters will be on their toes as it rolls out around Valentine’s Day.
